Let's start with why you are buying even more prop guards from YMZFPV for your Starship X1. Because although left- and right-sided guards are 98% symmetrical, they're not 100% and so you can't treat them as such without some carbon fiber processing/machining. This is a design failure that may create more orders such as mine in the short-term, in the long-term fewer people will buy and use this quad/ frame, and while I love flying this quad - the design will die unless it evolves.
Next - their shipping to North America from Mainland China is a joke. And this is not a single bad experience: This is my *third* order from YMZFPV and all three have been a similar shipping experience. About 3 days after you pay for your order, you will receive a notice that it is being prepared for shipment. Great - I wouldn't anyone to stress themselves hurrying out an order that an eager buyer is awaiting. For a week or more at a time, your order will inexplicably track as idle in Jamaica, Queens, NY. I believe that YMZFPV the Chinese company ships all US orders to a clearinghouse or re-shipper in Jamaica NY, who then utilizes USPS ground to ship the orders to their final destination. Can't anyone learn something from AliExpress? Orders don't come in 3 days but the prices are right and the shipping progress is transparent.
Long story short, it takes forever (comparatively in 2024) to get the order out the door, forever for it to show up on tracking, and forever to arrive.
All in all I love my YMZFPV quad, aside from its design failing where prop guards should be reversible.
The purchase experience sucks. Slow, obscure, expensive.
